How it works

A simple loop, applied every closed candle.

The bot is either waiting to buy or holding a position — never both, never confused.

  1. STEP 01

    Wait for the entry rule

With no position open, the bot checks your entry conditions on each new candle.

  2. STEP 02

    Buy a fixed amount

When the rule matches, it buys the order size you set with a market order.

  3. STEP 03

    Exit on your terms

It sells when your exit rule matches, or when take-profit or stop-loss is reached.

  4. STEP 04

    Cool down

An optional cooldown stops it jumping straight back into the market.

Building blocks

Indicators and operators you already know.

Combine conditions with AND / OR groups — nested up to two levels — using “is above”, “is below”, “is ≥”, “is ≤”, “crosses above” and “crosses below”.

RSI

Momentum from 0 to 100 — classic oversold and overbought levels.

EMA & SMA

Exponential and simple moving averages for trend and crossovers.

MACD

MACD line, signal line and histogram for momentum shifts.

Bollinger Bands

Upper, middle and lower bands to spot stretched prices.

ATR

Average true range — how much the price normally moves.

ADX

Trend strength, to separate trending from ranging markets.

Price & values

Compare against the current price or a fixed number.

Timeframes

1m, 3m, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h and 4h candles.

A backtest that updates while you type

Every change to a rule replays the strategy on up to 1,000 real Binance candles at the timeframe you picked. You see the trades it would have taken and what they would have made — with a trading-fee allowance already deducted.

Crossovers are evaluated on closed candles only, so the backtest and the live bot read the market the same way and signals never repaint.

  • Trades, win rate and net return
  • Best and worst trade, maximum drawdown
  • Equity curve and average holding time

Two ready-made rule sets to learn from.

Load a template, read how it works, then make it your own and save it to your account.

Template

RSI Reversal

Buys when RSI signals oversold conditions and sells when it turns overbought — a classic mean-reversion idea.

Template

EMA Trend

Enters when a fast moving average crosses above a slow one, aiming to catch the start of a move.

Guide

Writing rules that survive live markets

  • Prefer fewer conditions. A rule with seven filters can look perfect on one backtest and never trigger again. Two or three clear conditions are easier to trust.
  • Test more than one timeframe. The default is 15-minute candles, which gives a thousand-candle backtest about ten days of data. Try 1h for a longer view.
  • Always set a way out. Pair your exit rule with a take-profit and a stop-loss so a position never waits forever.
  • Run it on paper first. A backtest shows the past. A few days on paper shows whether the rule still behaves on fresh candles.

Signal bots are long-only and spot-only: they buy coins with your own funds and sell them back. There is no shorting and no leverage.

FAQ

Signal bot questions

Still unsure? The Free plan runs on paper with live prices, so you can see for yourself.

All questions
Do I need to code to build a signal bot?

No. You pick an indicator, a comparison and a value from menus, and the builder reads the rule back in plain English so you can check it.

Do signals repaint?

No. Crossover conditions are evaluated on the last two closed candles, so a signal that fired stays fired — in the backtest and in live trading.

Can a signal bot short the market?

No. Crypteller is spot-only, so signal bots buy with your own funds and sell what they bought. There is no shorting and no leverage.

Can I backtest a strategy?

Signal strategies are backtested automatically while you build them, on up to 1,000 candles of real Binance data, showing trades, win rate, net return and maximum drawdown. Results include a trading-fee allowance, but past performance never guarantees future results.
